Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
Pork Belly:​

5 - 6 Pork Belly Strips
-
Romaine Lettuce
​​
Marinade:
-
1/2 cup of soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon of siracha sauce
-
1/4 cup of rice vinegar
-
2-3 garlic cloves (finely diced)
-
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
-
1 green onion (chopped)
-
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon of paprika

Dipping Sauce:
-
1 tablespoon of siracha sauce
-
1 teaspoon of Sesame seeds
-
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon of miso paste (or peanut butter)
-
1-2 teaspoons of maple syrup (or sweetener for a low carb option)
-
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon of paprika
-
1/2 green onion (chopped)

Instructions

Combine all marinade ingredients into a bowl
-
Cut up the pork belly strips into 1-2 inch pieces
-
Toss in the pork belly into the bowl with the marinade and mix it in until each piece is fully coated with the mixture
-
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes
-
While the pork belly marinade mixture sits in the fridge combine all ingredients for the dipping sauce
-
After 10 to 15 minutes, remove bowl from the fridge
-
Set grill or frying pan to medium high heat
-
Cook the pork belly on either a grill or frying pan (2-3 minutes per side)
-
Remove pork belly from grill/frying pan and place on romaine lettuce leaf
-
Spread dipping sauce on pork belly, garnish with chopped green onions and enjoy!​
