Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

Pork Belly:​

​

  • 5 - 6 Pork Belly Strips

  • Romaine Lettuce

Marinade:

  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of siracha sauce

  • 1/4 cup of rice vinegar

  • 2-3 garlic cloves (finely diced)

  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

  • 1 green onion (chopped)

  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of paprika

Dipping Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon of siracha sauce

  • 1 teaspoon of Sesame seeds

  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon of miso paste (or peanut butter)

  • 1-2 teaspoons of maple syrup (or sweetener for a low carb option)

  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of paprika

  • 1/2 green onion (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients into a bowl

  2. Cut up the pork belly strips into 1-2 inch pieces

  3. Toss in the pork belly into the bowl with the marinade and mix it in until each piece is fully coated with the mixture

  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes

  5. While the pork belly marinade mixture sits in the fridge combine all ingredients for the dipping sauce

  6. After 10 to 15 minutes, remove bowl from the fridge

  7. Set grill or frying pan to medium high heat

  8. Cook the pork belly on either a grill or frying pan (2-3 minutes per side)

  9. Remove pork belly from grill/frying pan and place on romaine lettuce leaf

  10. Spread dipping sauce on pork belly, garnish with chopped green onions and enjoy!​
